Psychotherapist by profession. Writer by passion. Unofficial therapist friend by reputation.
I have always been fascinated by psychology, people, and human behavior. The way we think, feel, love, cope, connect, contradict ourselves, and make sense of the world around us. I am particularly interested in the experiences that shape us, the patterns we carry into adulthood, and the things we do not always realize about ourselves until someone helps us connect the dots.
I am a native New Yorker and a Chinese American eldest daughter. I am a New York City-based psychotherapist and writer with a background in psychology, sociology, and mental health counseling. But I am also so much more than my profession.
I am someone who loves meaningful conversations, music, concerts, traveling, writing, and finding connections between seemingly unrelated things. I can spend hours exploring the complexities of human behavior, but I am equally capable of getting ridiculously excited about my favorite artists.
I am a lover of Occult Studies & One Direction. Liam Payne 𓆩♡𓆪

I believe that people are complicated, that context matters, and that understanding someone requires more than simply observing their behavior.
And I believe that sometimes, one conversation or one different perspective can change the way we understand something we have carried for years.
That is part of why I created Ask Yun.
A place for curiosity, reflection, psychological insight, personal stories, and conversations about what it means to be human.
Welcome to my corner of the internet.
There was no single defining moment that turned me into a writer. Growing up, I learned to observe subtle nuances, recognize patterns, and make sense of complicated emotional environments. Over time, I found myself becoming the friend people trusted with their complicated feelings, difficult decisions, and questions they struggled to ask anyone else.
Eventually, writing became an extension of the conversations I was already having, allowing me to share my thoughts on human behavior, relationships, and the complexities of understanding ourselves.
